  2. The Czech Republic issituated in centralEurope. Itbecameanindependent state in January 1993. Itis part of the EuropeanUnion. Its total area is 78.866 kmq; itspopulationisabout 10,5 million. The currencyis the CzechKoruna. The Czechflagiswhite, blue and red. The Czech Republic iscomposedbythree big regions: Bohemia, Moravia and Slesia.

  3. Prague The Czech capital, Prague, is more than 1000 yearsold and isveryrich in monuments and museums. Itisconsideredoneof the most beautiful cities in the world. Itispossibletovisit the monumentalcomplexofPragueCastle, whichis the largestcastle in the world. The Gothic Charles Bridge and the Church of St. Nicholas, the most beautiful Baroquechurch in Prague, are veryinterestingtoo, so that the historical city on the Old Town Squarewithitsfamous 600 yearsoldAstronomical Clock.
