What is a Direct Object Pronoun? A direct object pronoun REPLACES a direct object. Examples: with D.O. with D.O. pronoun I write a letter.I write it. We see our teacher. We see him/her.

Where are they placed in the sentence? In English, pronouns are placed after the verb. In French, pronouns are placed BEFORE the verb. J’aimemonchien. J’aimemonchien(le) Je l’aime. (neg.: je nel’aimepas) Il a invitémesamis et moi. Il a invitémesamis et moi(nous) Il nous a invités. (neg.: ilnenous a pasinvités)
Where are they placed in the sentence(2)? If there is an INFINITIVE, the pronoun is placed before THAT INFINITIVE. Je vais faire mes devoirs. Je vais faire mes devoirs (les) Je vaisles faire.
