Hardware Requirements • 1 GB * heap each for • Data Server • Display Server • Historian • Apache Tomcat • Agent • Database ** • 4-8 GB of RAM or higher * Can go higher based on cluster size, number of connections (display server) ** Production quality databases like Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL etc.
Installation Process • Download OCM, OCV *, Docs and Apache Tomcat • Review pre-install checklist • Install OCM • Review post-install checklist • Participate in OCM Orientation • Participate in ‘How to use OCM’ training • Participate in SL’s Cluster Review (optional) • Complete post-evaluation questionnaire * OCV installation is optional and requires extra time to set up
Planning for the installation? • Allot 2 to 4 hours for the installation. • Gather necessary information about the Coherence cluster and its configuration • JARs, Patch, WKA, Multicast, Override, Java properties, Cache config etc • Get necessary privileges to connect to Coherence cluster • Port, IP address etc. • Let SL know about any additional configuration for your cluster • RMI, JMX Remote Port, POF etc. • Do not install the OCM on a server with shared memory. • Review OCM user guide - http://sldownloads.sl.com/docs/ocm/57/ocm/index.html
