ABOUT TAMIL UNIVERSITY The Tamil University was established at Thanjavur, by the Government of Tamil Nadu on 15th September 1981 The University Grants Commission, New Delhi recognized the University on 11th June 1985 As a part of current development, Tamil University has now launched the ICT Enabled Programs The idea of creating a global University was mooted as early as 1925 by the learned scholars of Tamil Nadu The University is giving a new dimension to education by introducing ICT-Enabled Programs

MA English Master of Arts English is a two year post graduate course in English Language and Literature The subjects like British Literature, American Literature, Literary Criticism etc are taught in this course This course helps the students to develop analytical and creative thinking Contemporary Drama, Poetry, Indian Poetry, Indian dramas and theories are taught in this course This course is basically a combination of ancient and modern English literature The course is delivered in online mode.   5. Eligibility Eligibility Criteria for MA English course at TU - Graduation in any discipline recognized by TU. Any candidate who has passed B.A. or an equivalent degree with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of Tamil University, or any other University or Institute in any state recognized by UGC or AICTE is eligible for admission. The fees of the course is Rs 5000/Year and an additional exam fee will be collected separately at the time of examinations.
