  1. In space travel history many lives have been lost due to machine failures and mechanic issues. Even though we can simulate and test, we can’t simulate emergencies and an example of this is Apollo 13. Health & Safety CONS • With the temperature at a bitter -459 a human can easily freeze to death. • The pressure so great it can crush our bodies; the major danger is solar radiation which can cause cancer. • Space is a very dangerous place. “Common Rule” ZERO GRAVITY BAD!!! says that gives any astronaut the opportunity to withdraw from the experiment without fear of repercussion. Green 1 • Due to the excessive amount of the spent in low gravity • Blood pressure • muscle physical • loss of bone mass • muscle deterioration.
