Introduction Nanomaterial is a new field which studies materials with morphological features on the nanoscale.
The definition of nanoscale Nanoscale is defined as smaller than a one tenth of a micrometer in at least one dimension.
Nano materials Some materials have special properties stemming from their nanoscale dimensions.
Nano Gold Nano gold , also known as " Colloidal gold ", is a suspension of sub-micrometre-sized particles of gold in a fluid — usually water. The liquid is usually either an intense red colour, or a dirty yellowish colour.
Nano Gold Gold nanoparticles are being investigated as carriers for drugs such as Paclitaxel. The administration of hydrophobic drugs require molecular encapsulation and it is found that nanosized particles are particularly efficient in evading the reticuloendothelial system.
Nano Glod Nano gold is also used in the therapy of cancer. Scientist has already successfully done the experiment on the rats and dogs.
Nano Iron Nano iron powder is an iron powder with granules' sizes ranging on the nanoscale. It is produced by first refining the iron until it is exceptionally pure. Next it is wound into wire. This wire is then exposed to an electric explosion, separating the iron particles. What results is an iron powder that must be measured at the nano scale. Possible applications of nano iron powder are for example use for groundwater remediation, wastewater treatment, in powder metallurgy or as a fuel cell catalyst.
Nano Iron Nano iron powder also has its uses in magnetorheologicalfluids. When an MR fluid containing only micrometre sized iron particles is compared to a fluid containing 5% nano sized particles and the rest micrometre sized, stress yield is significantly increased.
Nano Silver Silver nanoparticles are nanoparticles of silver, i.e. silver particles of between 1 nm and 100 nm in size. While frequently described as being 'silver' some are composed of a large percentage of silver oxide due to their large ratio of surface to bulk silver atoms.
