The University of Wisconsin System • The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is one of 11 comprehensive campuses in the distinguished University of Wisconsin-System. • Since its creation, the University of Wisconsin System has established itself as one of the world's premier public university systems. The UW educates more than 173,000 students on its campuses, and serves more than one million citizens through statewide extension programs.

  2. Location • UW-Parkside is located in the urban corridor that includes Milwaukee to the north and Chicago to the south.

  3. Our Local Communities • UW-Parkside is located between the communities of Kenosha (population 96, 240) and Racine (population 81,592).

New Majors • UW-Parkside has added exciting new degree programs like the Applied Health Sciences (AHS) major for students seeking careers in high-demand health care professions. • The university’s 90 percent placement rate to graduate schools opens doors for our students. To prepare students for the careers they want, Applied Health Sciences joins our respected Business, Biological Sciences and Criminal Justice programs; innovative Sport and Fitness Management and Graphic Arts Animation majors.

New Construction • A new suite-style residence hall, scheduled to open in the Fall of 2009 is currently under construction and will add 250 beds to our current on-campus living spaces total of 765. • New Residence Hall Features: • 4 or 5 people per suite • Private bathrooms in suite • Walk-in closets • Carpeted rooms • Wi-Fi • Convenient lounges for socializing and studying • Kitchenettes in each community • Fitness area • Easy access to classes and new union

  8. New Construction • The UW-Parkside Student Center recently underwent a $25 million expansion and houses the campus bookstore, credit union, food service and student involvement center.
