Standards of behaviour • Questions in this area show that an average of 15% of parents do not think that standards of behaviour are good. • Pupil conferences differ. • External reviews. • Histories of bullying are no longer happening. • System in place – no new ‘cases’ • If there are individual concerns then must talk to teacher or to me. • Next Action: children’s questionnaire. www.brainybetty.com

These are the planned actions. Progress of children against age expectations shared with parents in: • October - parents’ meetings; • December – written report of attainment; • February - Parents’ meetings; • March – written report of attainment; • June – annual report. www.brainybetty.com
Further actions re reporting on progress Home Learning book for Y1 upwards. This book will contain: • Homework tasks and teacher feedback; • Spellings and test results; • Tables/number bond tests; • Y1 to Y3 – space for parent comments. • Y4 to Y6 – homework diary provides communication link with parents. www.brainybetty.com
Progress/Curriculum communication/helping children at home • More detailed curriculum will be put on website; • Weekly learning summary on blog; • Workshops will take place in Autumn term re the new curriculum particularly with regard to maths and English and new assessment systems. www.brainybetty.com
We need to give more notice of events including cancellation of clubs. This will be improved by: • Updating calendar on website and blog; • Informing parents at beginning of term re key dates; • Use of parentmail and texts; • Parents understanding if dates change! • To offer care if parents’ not able to pick up from a last minute cancelled club due to weather. www.brainybetty.com
Response to some comments: • Recommended websites for research will be added to homework diaries/homework books. • Governor communications planned to increase with forthcoming announcement of new governor appointments. • Library – parents wanted! www.brainybetty.com
Not sure how well children are prepared for the future. From September whole school focus on aspirations – what and how they will be achieved. • Continued emphasis on real world learning. • Displays; • Visitors; • World of work week in Spring – need parents help. www.brainybetty.com
