Analysis of IAF GD 3:2003 – Guidance on Cross Frontier Accreditation
IAF GD3 analysis According to the analysis, there is a need to retain some of the IAF GD3 requirements that are not appeared in other relevant documents.
Latest meeting 14 March 2010 20 participants from ABs, CBs including a number of IAF executive members
Successful factor Co-operation among ABs with the support from CBs and other stakeholders
IAF GD3 Components TechnicalComponents IAF GD3 IAF/ILAC A5 IAF ML-series ML1, ML5, MRA Co-operation components IAF MoU
Work undertaken The definition of MS CB key activities has been sent to joint IAF/ILAC A-series JWG (2/4/09) for further action. Under 60 days commenting period ended on 14th April 2010
Work in Progress 3 sub-groups established • Draft a document that capture and enhance the cooperation aspect of GD3 (Steve, Alex)(ML-Series) • Defined timeframe for the application of ISO/IEC 17011 clause 7.5.8 (Yoshi, Alister, Daniel) • Feasibility for the Development of Database to replace/enhance ML5 (Listing of FCLs) (Fei, Sandro)
Way forward 1. Enhance the co-operation aspect - the AB signatories through the IAF MLA committee - the CBs through the IAF MoU 2. Continue the technical aspect through the IAF TC
Recommendations • IAF TC to endorse the approach • IAF GD3 apply in the interim period
