  2. We had to think about what type of trebuchet to make so we created a blueprint so we could create our trebuchet.

  3. This is a picture of our trebuchet in Auto-Desk Inventor Professional.

  4. Our expectations were to have an good trebuchet. This is because we thought we could remove most of the friction on the arm, while still being very accurate with an arm that doesn’t move side to side. • We experienced difficulty in cutting the arm as we split sever pieces of wood and had difficulty in cutting the wood as some pieces were wrong sizes. We also experienced difficulty in making the pouch as we had to make four different versions to get one to work • We changed the design of the base from a square to a U shape. We also changed to design of the arm support from a V shape to an I shape. Then we changed the design of the pouch from a more cupped shape to an open mesh design. • Some ideas for improvement are ball bearings for the arm instead of the PVC we used. We also could have made it more accurate as our arm was crocked.

  5. Test Attempt 1 Attempt 2 Attempt 3 Attempt 4 Distance 42.43 ft 41.21ft 39.21ft 37.79 ft Accuracy 2.43 ft off 1.21 ft off .79 ft off 2.21 ft off When we created our trebuchet in Atreb it said it would go around 9.3 meters, which is around 30 feet. By the time we were finished building the trebuchet according to this information we were able to launch the squash ball about 40 feet. How did this happen? We were able to increase the distance by 10 feet because we changed the angle to nail hook was pointing. Changing this exponentially increased the distance of how far we were able to launch the squash ball
