4 Partnership In Action Financial Literacy GLOW partners with affiliates (schools & nonprofits) to provide financial literacy and student resources. GLOW actively seeks out scholarship, matched savings account, and corporate mentor partners to pool and distribute resources to affiliates’ students. GLOW-Santa Clara Office of Education Debrief 2012-2013 Partnership Impact Santa Clara Office of Education, AVID and GLOW partnered for the 2012-2013 academic year and delivered financial education programming and student resources to EIGHT ESUHSD high schools. For the year, GLOW invested 300+staff hours in this partnership and the partnership yielded the following: • 8 schools participated, 838 students Reached • 160 Financial Literacy Modules delivered • 20 Santa Clara Office of Education Staff trained • 2 Scholarships totaling $14k • 8 Matched savings accounts opened
Next Steps • Complete MOU/GOA to formalize partnership • Work with GLOW Staff to pick curriculum modules • Attend 2 hour training to learn how to run a GLOW workshop • Submit student demographic information to GLOW • At start of GLOW programming, ensure students take Pre-assessment • GLOW provides consulting and support throughout the year • At end of programming, ensure students take Post-assessment • Year end, GLOW shares results from Pre and Post Assessment
