Experimental program of HT-7 2001 fall campaign HT-7 team 2001.10
The goals to be achieved • Long pulse-length operation 5-10 s shot(>1keV,>100kA,>1x1019m-3)、Steady-state H-mode ( 100 time energy confinement time), try 20s plasma operation • Preparing enough data for the invite talks for following conference: IAEA, PSI, EPS, APS。 • 2-4 unique experiments IBW, LHCD, LHCD+IBW, RF conditioning. • Several technical improvements for SSO 1MW CW LHCD、1MW CW ICRF、CW PF power supply and control、 ripple reduction、CW first wall and particle exhaust.
Physical program Plasma behavior of long pulse operation • Profiles measurements • edge plasma behavior • impurity transport • recycling • Er and shear flow • Energetic particles

Physical program Plasma and wave interaction • Coupling for the new multi-junction LHW antenna; • Coupling for the new RF and IBW antenna; • impurities generated by new antennae; • Power deposition control with changeable N for both LHW and RF; • Energetic particles behavior with reduced ripple
Physical program Profile controls: • Density by molecular beam injection (MBI from HFS and LFS) and RFH • Te by LHCD and IBW • j( r ) and MHD by LHCD • Er , EXB shear flow and ITB by IBW • P ( r ) by different wall coatings( B, Si, Li) • Edge radiation by Ne (Si) injection
Physical program SS H-mode(>20 E), The synergy between RF and LHCD • H-mode by LHCD • H-mode by IBW • LHCD+IBW(mode-conversion ,direct launching), • LHCD+IBWCD • High density (>60% GW density limit) LHCD+IBWH(5/2 D) trial
Physical program • Transport and confinement • Scaling of E and P • Perturbation of density by GP and SSB • Perturbation of temperature (relaxation) by IBW • MHD during LHCD and IBW • Zonal Flow, SOC, Rynold Stress
Physical program new diagnostics • Omegatron • IR CCD • neutron detector • FRC fast ECE • fast-moving Langmuir probe • S-X diode spectroscopy • CO2 laser scattering • HT-7U R&D (SXA, MP)
Advanced control for steady-state operation • Fast particle loss reduction with reduced ripple (Fe steel inserting in VV); • CW PF power supply and real-time plasma control; • Radiative mental; • New RF wall conditioning trial( Si, Li); • New first wall material and limiter; • Different fueling techniques;GP,MBI,pellet • CW data acquisition.
