Freshmen Notes • High School Football is NOT youth league football • Tryouts? Cuts? • a) NO/NO • Can I play if I have never played before? • a) Yes, parents and players, be realistic • Can I use my own pads? • NO
Team NotesTruth & Reality • If you are not lifting with the team or participating in camps and OTA’s, you are behind. • To be able to compete in the FRL & 5A football, you must be physically strong enough and in shape. If you are not lifting, you will not be able to compete at the level we need to be successful. Thus, you will not play. • Team depth is better than we have ever had before. Players will be competing for a position on a weekly basis. • If two players are the same, the younger player will see more play time. • Fundraising is voluntary and encouraged by all football participants.
Spring Weights / Spring Sports -As a Mountain Range Mustang football player, you’re highlyencouraged to be participate in one of the following Spring activities: 1) Track 2) Baseball 3) LAX 4) Swimming 5) Spring Weights (3:20-4:30 M/T/TH/F) a) Incoming freshman may not participate in weights until summer weight lifting begins.
