absorbed He was so absorbed in his book that he didn’t even realize he had been reading for two hours and was about to be late for work!
relieved The goalie was relieved that he was able to stop the ball just before it crossed the line and scored a goal for the other team!
condemned The bridge was condemned because it too old and was not safe to cross anymore.
