Unit 1: PI At this station, you will create a lab safety comic that show the CORRECT and INCORRECT way to use lab safety equipment. Your work should be neat and include color. Fold a blank piece of paper longways (‘hot dog’). Fold this in half longwise two times (on the dotted lines in the diagram). Open your paper so that you have 8 ‘windows’. In the top left corner, number each box. In each box, put the following: #1: “The Right Way” #2: a one-frame cartoon of how to use goggles correctly. #3: a one-frame cartoon of how to use an apron correctly. #4: a one-frame cartoon of how to use gloves properly. #5: “The Wrong Way” #6: a one-frame cartoon of how to use goggles INcorrectly. #7: a one-frame cartoon of how to use an apron INcorrectly. #8: a one-frame cartoon of how to use gloves INcorrectly. Please put your first and Last name on the back of Your paper.
Unit 2: Vocabulary At this station, you will create your own vocabulary cards for the 10 words related to physical properties of metals, non-metals and metalloids. Your work should be neat! For each word, you will have the following: WORD DEFINITION in your own words EXAMPLES using pictures SENTENCE using the term properly. Unit 2: WEBQuest At this station, you will use a device to learn more about metals, non-metals and metalloids. If you have your own device, please use it.
