Vision: • Deploying high quality digital Audio/Video (AV) technology on iLearn will cut cost and maximize AV services for the benefit of language instructors and students.
Goal: • Provide Language Instructors with frequently used Language Lab audio/video (AV) materials through creating a virtual AV environment and building language specific modules in iLearn.
Challenges and Obstacles • Diminishing use of analog AV technology • High serving cost of Analog AV technology • Difficult to integrated into new digital media that the on-line course environment requires
AV Implementation Hurdles • Converting, digitizing, uploading, streaming • Setting up the content on iLearn • Downloading and installing players • Troubleshooting problems • High cost of equipment required
