  1. Website and Blog Set Up • Go to the following website: http://www.weebly.com/ • Use you first and last name. • Your school email – 123456@student.dmschools.org (not 123456 – your OWN ID#!!) • Using your school password would be best.

  2. Select “Portfolio” type from the list. Make the title of your website/blog your name followed by Portfolio – eg –Sherri’s Portfolio • For website domain, select the first choice, “Use a Subdomain of Weebly.com”. Use your first name and last name followed by FP as you can see below for Gene McCracken. It will indicate that it is available – the address for your website will be what you see. For example Gene’s is http://genemccrackenfp.weebly.com.

  3. 6. When you click continue, you are ready to get started creating your website with a blog. You should see a screen like below. You can drag objects to the workspace to add text, pictures, columns, etc. The screen print below is from the Elements tab Objects bar: click and drag to area below it.

  4. 8. From the Pages tab, I want you to click on Add Page and click on Blog Page to create your blog. You should have a home page and blog page at this point! Go here for more help: http://help.weebly.com/beginners-guide.html

  5. 9. When you “Publish”, just close the window that pops up below. Publish! Close!!! Now you can see how it looks and works to others! 10. You can edit at any time, but must log on to Weebly and click Edit. You will be in the editor verses your published website.
