Hypothesis • I believe ____________________________________________________________________________ • If ______________________________________ then, ______________________________________
Variables • Independent Variable • Dependent Variable • Control Variable(s)
Methods • Participants • Materials • Design • Procedure • Extras
Participants Describe who you are experimenting on, who they are, how many (number of heads) and how they were selected. Ex: We randomly selected 167 adults from the ages of 35-45 from an office complex near the University.
Materials Describe anything and everything you will use here from images to surveys or equipment to testing instruments Ex: Measuring tape to record the distance between contestants, stopwatch to take time, a survey to ask them questions and
Design Describe the design of the experiment. Here you will explain your variables and what you are attempting to test. Ex: The experiment used a two group design where one group is the control and will be subjected to the base test while the test group will be subjected to the memorization test. The independent variable will be whether or not the subject was exposed to the memorization sheet to determine memory.
Procedure Explain step by step how you will conduct your experiment. Explain what the participants will do, how you will collect the data, and do it in An examiner interviewed children individually at their school in one session that lasted 20 minutes on average. The examiner explained to each child that he or she would be told two short stories and that some questions would be asked after each story. All sessions were videotaped so the data could later be coded. (more detail needed)
