  2. What are subjects and verbs? • A subject is the person or thing that is or does something. • A verb is the action that the subject performs in the sentence.

  3. Singular and plural • Whether the verb is singular or plural determines if it is the action of a group or a single thing. • If the verb is singular it will end in “t” • If the verb is plural it will end in “nt”

  4. Agreement between verb and subject • Look at the subject and verbs • Cornelia et Flavia in agris currunt. Cornelia and Flavia run into the fields. -the subject is plural because there are two people and the verb is plural because it ends in nt.
