Classroom Implementation Strategies • Recite the alphabet with the class, while drawing each letter upper case and lower case on the board. • Have 3 practice stations set up around the room. • Station 1- Have the iPad’s with LetterReflex application. Where the children will practice using “Flip It” activity. • Station 2- Have the iPad’s with LetterRelex application. Where the children will practice using “Tilt It” activity. • Station 3- Children will listen to the letters being called and write them in proper form.
Diverse Learners in an Inclusion Setting • Making stations and allowing all the students to use the iPad LetterReflex application, is a great way to integrate assistive technology without singling out the diverse learners. • LetterReflex application is a fun way all students can practice their letter and number formation. • Students with Dyslexia can get extra practice of distinguishing letters/numbers with LetterReflex application in a fun and exciting way.

Flip It (Practice) • You have to swipe (up, down,left, right) the letters or numbers to the correct position. • Difficulty increases for each level (the letters/numbers will start moving around, or adding two different letters/numbers). Eventually making words.
Flip It • Flip It challenges children to visually distinguish and use letters and words to match the correct positioning. • Flip It will help improve their visual discrimination skills and increase their knowledge of correct letter and word formation.
Tilt It (Learn) • Hold the device (iPad) flat and tilt the iPad to move the ball into the correct letter they ask for. • You practice tilting the iPad in the direction of how you make the letters. For example the “p” is in the top right corner, like how you would write the letter. q p d b
Tilt It • Tilt It uses kinesthetic learning techniques to help children learn their left side/right side to correct letter formation. • Tilt it challenges children to tilt the device in the correct direction to form letters.
LetterReflex • Both activities will help address the problem of letter reversals. • Tracking and Progress Reports: The app includes an automatic tracking and reporting feature makes it easy for parents, teachers and therapists to identify time on task, accuracy, and progress. You can email the reports right from the app.
