Introduction “Financial exclusion refers to a process whereby people encounter difficulties accessing and/or using financial services and products in the mainstream market that are appropriate to their needs and enable them to lead a normal social life in the society in which they belong.” • 500 000 householdswhose are akin to over-indebtedness • A need to conductresearches

  4. 1. Level and structure “2% of the France population is financially excluded” • Some groups of people way more affected : • Sick people • Low incomes • Unemployed • Lone parents • Disabled people • Youngest and oldest people • Ethnic minorities and migrants • Women VS Men

Causes and consequences Causes • Societal factors • Structural changes in labour markets • The role of social assistance programs • Demographic changes • Income inequality Consequences 2 main dimensions : • Affect the way in which individuals can raise, allocate and use their monetary resources. • Social consequences are generated
