  5. Exploratory SAE • Activities designed to study and develop an understanding of the opportunities available in agriculture. • There are two types of exploratory SAEs • Career Exploration • Agricultural Literacy

  6. Career Exploration • Interviewing • Job Shadowing • Hands-on activities related to careers

  7. Agricultural Literacy • Develop an understanding of current issues • Develop the ability to take care of plants and animals • Develop an understanding of the food and fiber system

  8. Conduct an experiment Develop a Research paper Design a garden Agricultural Tours Speeches Posters Demonstrations Interviews Agricultural Literacy Activities

  9. What you need to do • Take a survey to determine what you like to do. • Pick an area that interests you • Develop a project that will help you learn more about a career or agricultural issue. • Have the project approved by teacher and parents.
