  1. Young Journalists- Spreading the Word about `Good Practices

  2. The students from the Journalistic and Photography Club at the National College of Computer Science were given the task of making a magazine capturing the activities performed in the college during the 2011 National Computer Science Olympiad.

  3. Team: Andra Lerghievici Diana Turnea Marina Terente Cristina Ioan Raluca Caia Lorena Caia Adrian Apostu Sergiu Leustean Stefan Pletosu Stefan Aradavoiaicei

  4. Criteria *Photos must be clear and render a wholly perspective an the event; *Photos must clearly state the idea expressed in the article; *The interviewers must address questions in such a manner that the answer is simple but bring new information at the same time;

  5. Stages performed in order to obtain the final product (the magazine) • Selecting the team members according to hobbies and skills;

  6. 2.We have learned to work together and in this way we formed teams made of one photo-reporter, one reporter and a video-reporter, each of them performing a clearly-settled task.

  7. After gathering all the necessary data we had to edit it and in this way… From reporters we have turned into editors Each interview had to be listened on the recorder and typed in a Word Document in order to write articles based on gathered data

  8. From photo-reporters we have turned into graphic editors Each of the photos had to be re-evaluated according to the given criteria and selected in order to be attached to the interview

  9. From video-reporters we have turned into video-editors Each of the HD format interviews had to be converted into mp4 format in order to be edited and used as material for the website

  10. “For us, the chance to experiment the job of a video-reporter offered the opportunity to understand and appreciate the work done both in front and behind cameras. This experience proved that working in the media is not as easy as it might seem at a first glance. However, we can state that “playing the video-reporters” was entertaining as well as constructive and every time this kind of opportunities appear we will enthusiastically accept them”.

  11. The final product of this project was the Olympiad magazine
