Login • A login is a combination of information that proves your identity. • Ex: If you are ever asked to enter your username and password, you are being asked to enter your login information.
Network • When you have two or more computers connected to each other, you have a network.
Folder/Directory • A folder or directory is the place that stores electronic files.
Pull-down menu • A pull-down menu is a window that opens on the screen to show different options for that program. • It is also called a drop-down menu or a pop-up menu.
Presentation Software • A computer program that helps you create presentations is called presentation software. • An example of this is PowerPoint.
Mouse Pointer • A mouse pointer is the object on the computer screen that moves when you move the mouse. • It is usually a small white arrow and it disappears when you begin typing.
Word processor • A computer program used for writing, editing, storing, and printing text. (Ex. Microsoft Word)
Insert • Operation used to add information to a document.
