Pulp Drying & Different Machines To Do It BY UECIN
Introduction In the entire process of pulp making, pulp drying is the ultimate step. Its objective is to dry the fibers in the most effective way so that the further process of paper making can be smoothly undertaken. When it comes to drying pulp or pulp sheets, manufacturers primarily rely on the following three machines by UEC. Let’s know about them below.
Sheet Drying Cylinder When it comes to drying laboratory sheets, the sheet drying cylinder is another great machine by UEC. It is designed to dry laboratory sheets after they come across the pulp refiner and other essential pulp testing machines. Drying using this equipment helps in avoiding shrinkage and wrinkling of the sample, once dried. It is motorized equipment that comes with timer enabled and PID temperature controlled features.
Sheet Drying Cabinet The sheet drying cabinet is a strategically engineered machine, based on the 2nd report of the ‘pulp evaluation committee’ and the ‘technical section of the paper maker’s association’. It comes with an attached chamber that gives thermostatically operated air blow at 60 degrees. The pulp sheets are dried when this hot air passes through the drying ring. The brightness or the surface quality of the pulp sheet is not affected at all during the process.
Rapid Sheet Dryer The rapid sheet dryer comes with flat heating elements, used to dry the hand sheets. Its heating/drying area is made of stainless steel that is insulated, lending a long life to the overall equipment. A sheet size of a max of 250 mm in width and 300 mm in length can be dried using this machine and the temperature can be adjusted manually.
