Success Story • An IHE Success Story • two different vendors • one complete IHE integration profile. • all non-optional transactions from this integration profile need to be implemented between the products of the two vendors. • It is not required that this specific combination has been tested at a "Connect- A-Thon". • However, the compliance with the integration profile needs to be demonstrated without doubt.

Conclusion • Shows that IHE is real : • IHE started in France in 2001 • 6 success stories in 2003 • Shows that “every one” can access it : • Not reserved to the “big enterprises” • Common Eased the RFP process • Common vocabulary • Between vendor and user • Between vendors • Reduced the deployment period • Improved workflow • Security • Reduces the risk for future integration in the enterprise
