Why? In NI, 1 in 4 adults have poor numeracy skills. Therefore 1 in 4 people are more likely to be unemployed or in low paid jobs. You don’t want to be the ONE in four.
So what can you do? • Attitude -Take every opportunity to improve your skills not just in Maths Lessons. • Attendance -You must be at school fully equipped to learn. • Achievement -Learn the basics. -Complete all work, ask for help and do your best.

Competition Time • Regular competitions. • Look out for the posters. • With achievements points and prizes up for grabs. • Our First Competition: ESTIMATION -person with closest answer by next Thursday gets a prize. -Leave answers in the box in porch of Room 25, put your name and form class.
