  2. The two sources differ in their account of the reasons for the separation. In source A, it states the race issue to be the reason while in Source B, it states economic as the problem. The two sources differ in the source responsible for the separation. In Source A, it states the PAP to be the reason while in Source it, it states that Malaysia is behind the separation.

  3. The purpose also differ. In Source B, the purpose is to justify to the people of the Federation the reason for the separation so that the people would accept the decision. This is because the source is from Tunku in 1965 which is the year of the separation and he was the one who decided on the separation.

  4. In Source C, it is explain the reason behind the separation to the readers so that they would have a balanced understanding of why the separation occurred. This is because the source is from a history text and the tone is unbiased.
