Directions to the Goddard Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory (GGAO). From the GSFC Main Gate (~10 minute drive): Turn LEFT onto Greenbelt Road (Route 193) and travel ~ 0.9 miles to the second traffic light.

Directions to theGoddard Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory (GGAO) • From the GSFC Main Gate (~10 minute drive): • Turn LEFT onto Greenbelt Road (Route 193) and travel ~ 0.9 miles to the second traffic light. • Turn LEFT onto Good Luck Road at the light, travel though the first light and continue on Soil Conservation road, traveling ~3.6 miles to the end. • Turn RIGHT onto Powder Mill Road and travel ~0.4 miles. • Turn RIGHT onto Springfield road and travel ~ 1.2 miles. • A tall chain linked fence will appear on the left which is the GGAO facility. • Turn LEFTat the GGAO main gate which is at the top of the small hill. • At the gate, if someone isn’t there to let you in, call optical site cell, or Jan or Bud. • Travel to the top of the hill and park.
