What is the Cost of the RET? • The RET is 4% of a domestic electricity bill (1.12 cents per kWh). • The SRES is 2% of a domestic electricity bill (0.5 cents per kWh) and is expected to halve over the next two years to 1%. • The reduction in the wholesale price of energy cancels out the cost of the SRES to the domestic consumer!
