New internal spacers Hole in the mesh to accommodate the screw. A Kapton ring has been applied to avoid shortcuts between mesh and resistive strips. Screws which will keep the distance fixed, are not yet applied. For this reason the gas in not perfect gas tight.
First HV test Impedance test during the assembling phase. RIGHT Side Adopted the same naming schema used for L2 chamber AR BR BL Side A AL Side B LEFT Side
First HV test The L3 chamber has been positioned above to the L2, and connected to the gas line from the L2 output. The HV channel used for the L2, have been used to test L3 Current absorption (readout panel) , few nA up to 580 Volts.
Summary • Second 2,2 x 1 m2 Micromegas chamber has been build, it is almost complete and under test in our lab. • No particular problem arise from the preliminary HV tests. • Dedicate tests, to verify the new layout, have to be performed, in particular for the new internal spacer. • Possible conflict with the use of APV, now used for Tmm/T chambers test, next week will be shipped to DESY for the testbeam, than only 10 APV card will be available in the lab, not enough to test half chamber in one shot.
