  1. Fiber optics are applied for their benefits in speed, but USB extension cables suppliers have announced a modification in the technology that will make the cable even faster. The change could end up doubling the maximum speed that fiber optic circuits and cables can manage, even at long distances. The advances will also lower the cost in significant way. You need to know about Fiber Optics cables. A fiber optic cable has a bundle of glass threads. Each of the threads can transmit messages through light waves. These messages are usually fast, but over distance, their speed can become low and less reliable. In other words, fiber optics or optical fibers are microscopic strands made of pure glass with similar diameter of a human hair. Thousands of optical fibers are arranged in bundles in the cable to transmit light signals over long distances. Take an instance, there is a person shouting down a corridor, with the listener hearing less and less at longer distance. Even the words themselves are difficult to distinguish due to echo effect. The same happens with fiber optics cable that converts electricity to light, and then back to electricity at other cable end.

  2. A single optical fiber cable has core which is the thin glass center of the fiber where the light travels. The outer optical material surrounding the core and reflecting the light back into it is known as cladding. The protective layer of plastic is the buffer coating that resists moisture damage. Advantages of fiber optic cables: Better quality transmission No interference from HV in fluorescent lights, card access door strikes or outdoor lighting systems No interference from short circuits, crosstalk, RFI, EMI, etc. Light in weight Longer service life Stable within a wide temperature range Extremely high bandwidth Secure product These cabling are available in two basic types- multimode and single mode. Multimode fiber has a core size of either 50 or 62.5 microns and is usually found offering connections between telecomm rooms inside a campus or building. The first all-optic fiber cable was named TPC-5 and it used optical amplifiers and was laid throughout the Pacific Ocean in 1996. Today, telecomm, medical, military, networking, broadcast, and data storage industries are sourcing these cables from USB extension cables suppliers to implement the technology in sorts of applications. If you need optical fiber cable for your infrastructure, you can contact suppliers or manufacturers today.
