Foundations Sequence • 1996- • Two-semester course required of all first-year students • Interdisciplinary—An introduction to the life of the mind • Shared common readings
FoundationsSequence • Writing intensive • Small classes that meet with a single professor • Faculty are drawn from all three schools: School of Liberal Arts, School of Business, and School of Science • Overall theme: The meaning of responsibility
Course Goals Include • Demonstrate a level of information literacy skill that meets the standards set forth by the Foundations Information Literacy Plan
