National & International Collaborations (cont’d…) • Asian Internet Interconnection Initiative • Started in October 1995 • WIDE (Widely Integrated Distributed Environment) project • and JSAT (Japan Satellite Systems Inc.) • NRG heads the AI3 initiative in Malaysia • A satellite earth station providing a direct satellite link into Japan. • Research activities include IPV6 and Multimedia over satellites.
