5 ENSURE THE PROTECTION OFFERED BY THE LAW: The developer should legally provide bank guarantees or an insurance policy, if you are buying a villa or project which is under construction, then this will protect the money you have invested, if the project is not completed as per pre-settled terms and contracts. You may also ask for some proof of permissions of the building plan, licenses, ownership and insurance against the defects in the building from the developers to ensure the safety your investment in the real estate in Mallorca.
