  1. Cloning:To Clone, or not to Clone

  2. What is Cloning?

  3. Cloning Definition: Creation of an organism that is an exact genetic copy of another. Encyclopedia Britannica: An individual organism that was grown from a single body cell of its parent and that is genetically identical to it.

  4. Cloning Fallacies • Genetic make-up is altered • Mutants are created • Clones are unhealthy • Will eventually lead to cloning humans • Possible to recreate people such as Hitler

  5. Should cloning be legalized? YES! NO!

  6. Benefits of Cloning • Cure diseases • Create animals that are disease resistant • More consistent food products • Save endangered species • Helps infertile couples

  7. Disadvantages of Cloning • An Immoral Practice • Not efficient • All livings have a ‘right-to-life’. We should not create life to kill it • Rich would benefit, cloning would only be available to them • Superior, genetically altered race vs. normal, natural race “Respect life, all human life” John Paul II

  8. So what do you think?
