  2. What it Reminded me of… • After typing in “half tone process” it reminded me of those optical illusions where you have to stare at a photograph that is filled with different colors and patterns and somewhere in that image you’ll see an outline of another image inside it.

  4. Definition… • What is a half tone process? It’s where an image is made up from different gradients, dots, or lighting and shading.

  5. Who Used the Halftone Process… • Back in 1852, a man named William Fox Talbot recommended that tones could be made up from photographic screens. It wasn’t until the 1890’s that the halftone process was first used in newspapers.

  6. But How was it Created?... • It was made from a camera that contained a screen with a grid to break up the images into little dots.

  7. What Else is there to know about the Halftone Process… • People that have photography businesses use the halftone process for creativity. With this process, it gives off a very unique look to the images and is becoming more popular in the modern photography businesses.
