Once a player has accumulated three, five, or seven yellow cards during the current season, they MUST sit out their next CMSA league game(s), and indicate on the game sheet the serving of the game(s) suspension(s). • Yellow cards accumulated while playing up count towards a player’s overall total. • Two Caution Cards received by a player in a single game do not count towards the yellow card accumulation suspensions

  5. Discipline (Continued) • Red Cards • When a player receives a red card during a game or afterwards, that player must leave the field of play immediately and will be escorted by team bench personnel off the pitch without retrieving their belongings.  A field marshal or adult team designate shall then escort the player to a location out of the pitch area, out of view of the referee, they are forbidden to return to that area for the remainder of that day.  • Once the misconduct report is submitted to the CMSA office by the referee, the player, coach, and club will be notified of any suspension resulting from the red card. The result will be emailed out within 10 days of receiving the report.

  6. Post Season Competition Expectations • By registering in CMSA, your team is committing to any post season competition (Provincials, Inter-Cities) that the team may qualify for. Post Season Play forms MUST be completed by each team, indicating your teams intentions. Forms are due by May 30, 2014. A Club whose team withdraws from any post season competition – after completing the Post Season Play form indicating yes they will play - prior to or during the event for any reason (including the inability to field a team) will be subject to a financial penalty as determined by CMSA and ASA. Exhibition, Provincials, Inter Cities, City Finals and tournament games do not count towards the total of 6 maximum play up games per team. • Referee Evaluations • Referee evaluations can be completed through the CMSA website. The rescheduling policy MUST be followed, any games results from rescheduled games that did not follow the policy will void. • Teams that are travelling to tournaments will need to find field time to reschedule the game to. • Since field time will be at a premium this season, we recommend looking for another game to switch places with.

  18. Respect In Soccer • CMSA has partnered with Respect in Sport and Shane Homes to offer you this program that helps us to ensure that respect is the foundation of everything we do with the children we have in our care. • The Respect in Soccer 2 1/2 hour program can be taken at any time that is most convenient for you. We encourage you to take the course over a period of two to five sessions to maximize the benefits. Minimum of two team officials on the team roster must have RIS, prior to the start of the season. Shane Homes will cover the cost for all existing and new team officials over a 3 year period starting August 2011. Respect in Soccer recertification will be required every 4 years.

  19. Field Marshal Program • All teams participating in CMSA league play must designate an individual at each game (home and away) to act as a Field Marshal. • The individual acting as the Field Marshal (FM) must be named on the team’s game sheet. Teams will be fined if they do not list their FM on the game sheet. • The Field Marshal is to wear the arm band provided by CMSA as identification.
