2. Adverbs give information about verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, or entire sentences. Adverbs of manner tell how something is done. Most adverbs of manner are formed by adding –ment to the feminine form of the adjective. Adverbs of manner

4. If the masculine singular form of an adjective ends in a vowel, you add –ment to form the adverb.

5. If the masculine singular form of an adjective ends in –ant or –ent, -ant is replaced by -ament and -ent is replaced by –emment.
