  6. Go for the Gold – Level 2 Rating Current average gold or higher percentage for the eight county region is 16%. Five of the eight counties (62.5%) at or above 15% gold or higher certification percentages.

  7. CWRC Counties Attained - Level 2 Rating Plan implemented for 100% of the eight counties to reach CWRC goals. Two counties (Harris, Talbot) fully certified. Three counties (Marion, Stewart, and Quitman) under 30 certificates needed for certification.

  8. CWRC Counties In Progress Level 2 Rating Marion – 82% Muscogee – 78% Stewart – 66%

  9. Career Pathways

  10. Industry Networks – Level 2 Rating Fifteen job profiles completed to date in Advanced Manufacturing and Maintenance. Ten companies using Georgia Work Ready – Bayer, Swift Spinning, Exide, Kodak, NCR, PCI, Pratt & Whitney, Kysor//Warren, Denim North America, and Johnson Controls. Training Needs Assessment for the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Network completed and training being delivered. Three Industry Network Meetings held to date.

  11. Home/Core Team – Level 2 Rating Strategic Plan for the Chattahoochee Region developed in March 2010 and consistently implemented and reviewed monthly with adjustments made as needed for each county. 3 Home/Core Team meetings held since the grant’s inception.

  12. Leadership – Level 2 Rating Industry Network for Advanced Manufacturing represented by Bayer, Pratt & Whitney, Precision Components International (PCI), Swift Spinning, Denim NA, Exide, Kodak, NCR, Kysor//Warren, and Johnson Controls. Community Home Team for Grant Implementation represented by the three industry network partners, Columbus Technical College, Flint River Technical College, South Georgia Technical College, Greater Columbus, Harris and Taylor County Chambers of Commerce, eight school districts, Georgia Dept of Family and Children Services, Columbus Career Center of the Georgia DOL, Lower Chattahoochee WIA, Valley Partnership, Columbus State University, Muscogee County Adult Literacy, and Ft. Benning. Commitment from partners to continue engagement with focus to expand career pathways with integrated intern and co-op programs.
