Goodman Monday – Friday: 5am – 10am Demographics There are 231,300metro residents listening to Goodman weekly Source: PPM Sep-Nov 2012 , P6+ Goodman got his start in radio in upstate New York, at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs when he was just 12 years old. "I had the 6-8 a.m. slot on Sundays, and I remember playing the Beastie Boys 'License to Ill' when it first came out on vinyl" Goodman said. "It was just a small station, 200 watts. But it was great fun — it was this larger-than-life theater of the mind, and I loved it." He spent many years gaining experience in commercial production for both TV and radio, imaging, promotions, various voice work, and of course on-air in Charlotte, NC, Seattle, WA, Burlington, VT, Philadelphia, PA, and Albany, NY before he landed in Denver. He started with Channel 93.3 in 2005 and brought his own unique brand and experience to the mornings. His show has seen incredible growth over the last several years and it’s no wonder. He has interviewed artists such as Chevelle, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, local boys The Fray, Mike Ness of Social Distortion, but the most memorable moment was his interview with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. “Hands down, one of the coolest, most down to earth, ‘real’ people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting” Goodman recalls. Goodman gets as good as he gives when it comes to the station. We asked what he thought about being a part of Channel 93.3 and his reply was, “I love my listeners. They are my co-hosts and they keep ME entertained. It’s also amazing to be part of the great history we’ve had in ‘breaking’ bands – like the Fray, the Flobots, 3OH!3, and more. I love watching the rise of these hard working bands, and see them take on the national scene. There’s no other place in the country that this happens. It just shows how awesome Denver is!” Source: Age/Sex: PPM Sep-Nov 2012, P18+, AQH Comp • Income: Scarborough R2, 2012, P18+
Bailey Monday – Friday: 10am – 3pm Demographics There are 233,100metro residents listening to Bailey weekly Source: PPM Sep-Nov 2012 , P6+ Bailey has been working in radio since the 1990s in Boston, St. Louis, Hartford, and Chicago, just to name a few. She sent her demo to Channel 93.3 in 2004 because she liked the station and was looking for a change. It just so happened that at that very moment, 93.3 was running a contest looking for a DJ. Bailey was registered as a contestant and she won! Who knew that serendipitous act would turn into a top rated mid-day show as well as a music director position for two stations! She’s experienced some amazing things in her career. While there are few people who can say they won their job, even less can say they jumped rope with OzzyOsbourne backstage at Ozzfest, or repelled down a 30 story building live on the air. Fewer still can say they have become a role model for women throughout the Denver area and across the country after being the “victim” of a fashion make-over on TLC's What Not to Wear. She worked very hard to drop a total of 110 lbs and her co-workers felt she deserved to have clothes and a make-over as beautiful as they already knew her personality was. What makes Bailey tick? Her love for the listeners. “I can relate to them with similar experiences and struggles. The listeners are what makes me do what I do. If I can help someone through a tough time or turn them on to a new favorite band or song...that's what makes this fun for me!” She not only loves her listeners, she loves her community and is involved with the Cancer League of Colorado, The Denver Dumb Friend’s League, The Epilepsy Foundation, and Girls Inc. Nick Cage Monday – Friday: 12pm – 12:30pm Demographics There are 60,600metro residents listening to Nick weekly Source: PPM Sep-Nov 2012 , P6+ Nick’s first connection to radio was in high school when he took radio classes as a senior and got his first job at a radio station in 1989, running Rick Dees weekly top 40 on vinyl on Sunday mornings. He also worked at 2 top 40 stations in Colorado Springs. In 1991 he went to Fresno, California where he tried his hand at hip-hop and classic rock before landing his first alternative rock station. This is where he played all the tunes that are on the Throwback Lunch. In 1996 he came to Denver and finally found his home on Channel 93.3 in 1997. “When I first started here I was the new guy and met all the legends that I used to listen to when I was younger. Like Mary Moses, Bret Saunders, and Suzie Wargin. Now after 14 years I'm the old guy. I love 93.3 listeners because they are so passionate about their music. They don't like any b.s. or gimmicks. They don't fit into one type or category, but cover many different facets of life styles.” Some of the most memorable interviews he told us about were: “Johnny from Radiohead, Trey Cool from Green Day and Jack Johnson. He's really not a hippie. I was most nervous with Andrew Fletcher from Depeche Mode. It’s hard to interview people who are your legends. Worst interview was Yellow Card. A lot of political bickering going on and I was not in the loop. Walked into that one.” In closing he told us, “Music is most of my life and I spend a lot of time seeing a lot of bands. I think it would push close to 100 shows a year. Living in Colorado I love the mountains, and snowboarding lets me enjoy them most. I call Hawaii my second home. Love to spend any time I can in the Aloha State. I'm a huge Colorado Rapids fan and have been for 15 years. A few years back I got sucked into drag racing. The smell of the Top Fuel Dragster and burning rubber, summer! Have made it to many NHRA races including Las Vegas. Been known to hang out at the Stock Show for Professional Bull Riding. Keep an eye out...I could be sitting right next to you at one of the many dive bars around town.” Source: Age/Sex: PPM Sep-Nov 2012, P18+, AQH Comp • Income: Scarborough R2, 2012, P18+
Nerf Monday – Friday: 3pm – 7pm Demographics There are 285,300metro residents listening to Nerf weekly Source: PPM Sep-Nov 2012 , P6+ Nerf got his first radio job in 1998 at KROQ in Los Angeles driving the promotions van around town. He felt he’d learned all aspects of van driving by 1999 and decided to come home to Denver. He got a job at 93.3 as a board operator and promotions assistant and eventually worked his way into an afternoon air shift. In 2006 he became the program director. This opportunity gave the music lover in him the chance to add local bands to the regular playlist. This brave act has seen more and more Colorado bands get signed, from The Fray to Single File, Meese and Tickle Me Pink, with the Flobots and 3OH!3 coming up fast. Nerf has had so much success finding talent, record labels are coming to him instead of the other way around! When he says he loves music, he means it. “I get a thrill out of introducing music to people. Whether it's throwing on an unsigned band at the peak of afternoon drive and fielding phone calls, or playing an old Fugazi song for my cousin Mike, when people fall in love with a band and you were the matchmaker, there's no feeling quite like it.” Not only does he love music, he loves the listeners. “I wouldn’t trade our listeners for any other station’s. They’re young, smart, and interested. They’ve got a healthy degree of skepticism, so they’re not impressed with boasting or smoke and mirrors entertainment. They like music, they care enough about it to engage with the music scene and give new things a chance. My type of peeps!” Source: Age/Sex: PPM Sep-Nov 2012, P18+, AQH Comp • Income: Scarborough R2, 2012, P18+

The History of Channel 93.3 Channel 93.3 signed on in 1965 with the call letters KFMF and was licensed to Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1975, KFMF adopted a rock music format that eventually evolved to modern rock in the early 1980s. In 2007, it changed its city of license to Wheat Ridge to provide clearer coverage over the Denver area. It can still be received in Fort Collins. Channel 93.3 has become a leader in discovering local music and helped break The Fray, Meese, 3OH!3, Single File, Tickle Me Pink, and The Flobots onto the national scene. Its commitment to discovering new music in Denver’s own back yard and introducing listeners to the hottest national acts has made it one of the top stations in Denver. It also brings listeners an unique experience with the latest national acts during “Garage Sessions”. Bands passing through town stop by the studios for interviews and live performances. The station has also the biggest St. Patrick’s Day tradition in Denver with Keggs& Eggs. An early morning broadcast from LoDo has listeners lining up the night before and news crews covering the event every year. If the luck of the Irish is with them and they make it inside, they will be greeted with music, participate in games, and have a few beers.
