Monday, July 24th (12-3) • Introductions • Check in: Hopes and Fears • Established reporting standards (NEM and SWM will report out FIVE Reporting Standards to parents). • These five are the same overarching standards per the Common Core: • Reading Informational Text • Reading Literature • Writing • Speaking and Listening • Language • Established reporting structure/ common language: • Reporting Standards (overarching), • Grade level standards (the specific standards under each of the five above) • Learning targets (the grade level standards “unpacked”) • Established we would not report by letter grades at NEM and SWM • Established the reporting standards would be yearlong vs. change at trimester

Tuesday, July 25th (12-3) • Check in • Established language for levels of achievement • Advanced • Proficient • Developing • Beginning • Drafted a short narrative for “Advanced” and “Proficient” • Defined what is proficient? • Drafted short narratives for Proficient and Advanced • Agreed we want a mix of district guaranteed grade level priority standards (approximately three per reporting standard) and freedom to establish other grade level standards (based on the common core) to feed into the reporting standards per student need/ CLTs • Began communication w technology specific to IC • Created a shared folder for teachers to submit previously created proficiency scales per Reporting Standards and per Grade Level

Wednesday, July 26th (12-3) • Check in • Revised short narratives for Advanced and Proficient • Created short narratives from Developing and Beginning • Added descriptors specific to insufficient evidence/ missing work vs not assessed • Determined/ Reviewed/ Narrowed down District Guaranteed Priorities in Grade-Alike Groups • Added existing proficiency scales to shared folder

Thursday, July 27th (12-3) • Check in • Northeast and Southwest collaboratec with Sharon Hennessy to figure out how to make IC fit our needs • West, South, and Central collaborated with one another to figure out how to make IC fit their needs • All teachers saw the IC sandbox, added feedback • Established next steps/ to dos specific to communication
