  2. The R2 Library • The R2 Library is an electronic database that enables access to digital book content from multiple health science publishers. • Search and browse across multiple publishers’ content at one time.

Browse Content TOC Index Related Topics A-Z Index A-Z Drug Index Reserve Shelf Search Content Quick Search Advanced Search 3rd Party Search Personalization My R2 Bookmark Save Search Search History Email Section Print Section Cite Resource Linking Key Terms Drugs Getting to Know the R2 Library: User Functionality

  5. Note Option to Browse by Discipline after Selecting a Library

  6. Browse Titles in the Selected Library

  7. Click on a Title to Browse Content

  8. Browse Content by Table of Contents

  9. Browse Content by Topic Index Note: These terms are taken from a universal medical thesaurus, and assigned to each paragraph of text.

  15. Search Content • Quick Search • By Keyword, Drug Name, Author, Title (see next slide) • View results by Library • Sort results by Relevance, Book Title, Chapter Title, Author, Publisher, ISBN

  16. Enter word or phrase to search content of all books or specific field. Click Go

  17. View Results by Library and/or Sort by Various Elements.

  18. Search Content – Index vs. Full Text • Index vs. Full Text Results • Index results based on topic indexing are first ... To broaden out search results, click Full Text tab • Click Related Topics to view Related Resources across all R2 Resources • Click Search within Results to refine results

  19. Search Content – Advanced Search • Expanded Keywords and fields • Search only for images • Search specific Libraries, Disciplines, Resources • Search PubMed, CINAHL, and Medical Subject Headings

  20. Personalization – My R2 • Bookmark • Save Searches • Search History (last 10 searches) • Email section • Print section • Cite Resource
