  2. Effects by Ivan One time hurricane Ivan flipped over a truck that looked like a couple of kids took it for a joy ride. In Jamaica almost 11,00 people died because they started to starve. One of the strongest storms to hit was in 1969. The storm went up to 160 to 195 miles per hour. It killed hundreds of people and thousands were injured. It costs more then 30 billion dollars.

  3. Where did hurricane Ivan happen? Hurricane Ivan was at the Gulf of Mexico and it mixed with the hot water and that made it stronger. Hundreds were injured and killed. There were many survivors.

  5. Hurricane Ivan in Jamaica In Jamaica 15,000 houses were damage. Hundreds were killed. In Jamaica it Hurricane Ivan tossed a van into a puddle of mud! Luckily no one was in the van at the time.

Farther in, Ivan caused a lot of flooding, bringing in another river near Atlanta and a lot of other rivers. Millions were killed.

  9. How to be safe during a hurricane • First you stay away from any windows. • Seconded you prepare food, and clothing for you and your family. • Third you leave everything and bring yourself to a safe enough place. • Last be prepared for a damaged state.

  10. How long does a hurricane last? A hurricane can last for more than five days. It moves across than ocean and to another location. The water makes it stronger and will cause a lot of damage in that state. People all over move to a much safer place to keep themselves and their families safe. They don’t know when it is safe to go back to were they came from.

  11. The eye of the hurricane The eye of the hurricane is the center of a hurricane. It does not cause as much damage because the eye wall has a lot of wind in and causes a lot more damage than the eye.
