14. How many lakes are there in Lombardy ? Lombardy Region The Lombardy Regionis situated on the North of Italy. The Lombardy is surrounded by Alpi’s high mountains and the Prealpi’s hills all around, like acrown with white points in the winter and in many months of the year. There are the Prealpi’s hills and wide and green valleys. Among the Prealpi’s hills there are four main lakes: MAGGIORE, COMO, ISEO, GARDA.

16. Lombardy Region What’s name of main river, in Lombardy ? To the south there is Pianura Padana with large plains and fertile countries with a lot of rives. The Padana Plain is crossed by Po river and by the tributaries of left. The Po river separates two zones: the high plain and nether plain. The high plain is rather arid and a few fertile because the ground is formed with coarse permeable debris. The contrary, the nether plain, in the south region, has large, fertile and rich of water lands.
