Question 2: How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
I believe that my ancillary texts work well together in promoting the film mainly through its themes and ideas that the film highlights (youth behaviour). Also the difference in audience targeting that my ancillary texts bring means that the film can be heard of and approached by many different audiences some of which may not be the initial target market fraction. Images of from Google that represent my original target audience.
My poster and what audience it brings. My poster being an imitation of a mix tap cover and representing key themes of the film (rap) means it can attract those who are interested in these particular genres, which can be interpreted as my teenagers my target audience or even other audiences. My review coming from the style and layout of the Little White Lies magazine means it can attract very different audiences to our film as they will have heard of the film through the review, earlier in the blog the common viewer of LWLs magazine is mentioned, describing them as arty people who enjoy the foreign and non-mainstream films that LWLs brings to light.

Overall effectiveness of my poster and main product combination This may mean that my poster may not be as effective until the viewer has already seen the film, which is a problem as a poster is meant to attract you to the film, however I believe their are still elements to the poster which will intrigue my target audience for example the relation to the mix tape covers although it clearly a film when looking at the poster.
My Review • The effective of my review combined with my main product is largely the way my review allows an outside perspective. In the eyes of my audience this could mean that my review may be discussed more as viewers ideas and thoughts about the film may be completely different to what the reviews discusses. • Being a LWLs review their target audience and even reviews aren’t the usual audience my film would receive comments from or even views, having this review in this imitation style allows me to comment on the film from someone outside of the target audience who would be able to focus on other areas of the film that my target audience may not for example ‘the story of the film is confused and there was no turning point’ this quotation from my review shows how I was able to criticize aspects of my film which may not be pointed out by my general target audience as these aspects of the film may not be important/significant.
