Unit Plan Summary: Ao Dai has been the traditional uniform for school girls for many years, this tradition creates the inpiration for many poets and musicians. However; some schools in Ho Chi Minh city have changed their uniform. Does this change meet the students ‘ need? This unit provides students the chance to have a closer look at the current social problem: The children ‘s right . Students will do research, make survey, collect data from different sources ( live interview, reports, ….) about the decription of the Ao dai (old and new version), the convience or in convienience while students wear this uniform. Students sort, evaluate and organize their finding .Then, they are asked to create and give clear and vivid PowerPoint presentations to the whole class on a project to pursuade the Principles of high schools in HoChiMinh city to choose the uniform that they think meet the students ‘ need.Students should also create publications and a website to build up awareness from the whole community.
