  2. Rio de Janeiro • What does Rio de Janeiro mean well in Portuguese it means “River of January” • Rio de Janeiro Brazil’s second largest city is South America’s most frequent tourist attraction. • Most speaked languages include Portuguese, Spanish, English.

  3. Rio de Janeiro Main Attractions • Rio has many attractions that people love but there are two that no one would love to miss if they went there. • Christ the Redeemer- Located 2,330 feet at the high peak of Corcovado Peak this statue is a symbol of Brazilian Christianity and Christians from all the world come to show support for this monument. • Copacabana-Everyone loves going to beaches but how about this beach 4 km one of the greatest and largest beaches in the world.

Things to do in Rio • Many people get bored just taking pictures of famous monuments so what does Rio have that’s fun and exciting. • Parque Nacional and Floresta da Tijuca- Love nature walk then how about going here where you get to go through a tropical rainforest, see parts of the cities from distances, waterfalls and nature. • Arcos da Lapa- Love history and manfuracting go to the Acros factory bulit in 1750 in order to stop the problem of constant lack of water. • Carnaval- The largest event in Rio with many stands and the greatest moment is the samba school parade.

  5. Rio de Janeiro’s Weather • Rio de Janeiro’s weather depends on the elevation and land use. Different weather includes sunny, rainy, mild and scorching hot depending on the season.

Transportation • Many tourists first question is about how they going to get from place to another. • Taxi- Kind of stranded but many people say this taxi system is actually pretty good • City Bus- Also stranded but price depends on if you want ac or not. For air conditioner it is $2.75 and no air conditioner is 3.50 • Rio Subway- If your really in the mood to experience something foreign take Brazils subway system which are very clean that they seem new
