  2. Prepare • Set both long and short term goals • Recognize that who you are determines your goals • Make goals realistic and attainable • Make goals that can be measured against current accomplishments • Goals should involved behavior over which you have control

  3. CONT. • Take ownership of your goals • Identify how your short term goals fit with your long term goals

  4. Organize Physical organization: • Gathering the materials, tools and resources to achieve your goal Mental organization: • Reviewing what skills you have to complete the goal

  5. Work • Finding the motivation • Take responsibility for your failures and successes • Think positively • Accept that you can’t control averything

  6. Evaluate • Take a moment to evaluate yourself and feel some satisfaction • Compare what you have accomplished with the goals you are seeking to achieve • Evaluate your performance as if you were someone else • Be fair to yourself • Based on your evaluation, revise your work

  7. Rethink • Reanalyze, review how you have accomplished the task • Question the outcome- Look at the big picture • Identifying your assumptions and challenge them • Consider alternatives rejected earlier • What would you differently if you could try things again? • Reconsider your initial goal
