Endovenous Laser Treatment

Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a laser to treat varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. During the procedure, a thin laser fiber is inserted into the vein, which heats and closes the vein. This redirects blood flow to healthier veins, causing the varicose veins to disappear.

Varicose veins are swollen, bulging veins that often happen on the thighs or calves. A laser is a device that sends a thin beam of radiation in the form of light.
